SASEV serves as a forum for presenting the latest technical and scientific information to all South African wine and grape producers to improve the quality of South African table grapes, drying grapes, wines and related products.
Table and Raisin Grape Information Days, during which technical information is presented to producers in all three the main producing regions (Western Cape, Northern Cape & Northern Province) of South Africa will take place on (dates to be announced shortly for Northern Cape and Mpumalanga), and 25 August at Goudini Spa (Western Cape). The Society also hosts a post-harvest workshop on 6 May 2015; a Winter Workshop on 17 July 2015 and a ‘Spring’ workshop for the wine grape industry on 18 September 2015. A congress, which alternately takes the format of workshops (2015 and 2017) or a scientific congress (2014, 2016 and 2018) is hosted annually during early November. This year however, it will take place from 25 - 28 August 2015 at the Goudini Spa. All the sessions are usually are well attended (see the attached ‘Technology Transfer Sponsorship Opportunities’) by prominent producers, managers, service providers and technical people.
The programmes for 2015 will be communicate to you as soon as they are finalised.
To facilitate technology transfer in the different regions of the grapevine industries, as well as to bring international experts to South Africa, is expensive. SASEV, therefore, needs the support of sponsors to make ends meet.
