43rd SASEV CONFERENCE ‘HOMEGROWN KNOWLEDGE, EXPLORING THE IMPACT OF LOCAL RESEARCH ON A GLOBAL SCALE.’

The Organizing committee of the 43rd SASEV Conference presented this conference event on 13 & 14 September 2023 at Klein Joostenberg, Stellenbosch, South Africa. The conference had the theme “Homegrown Knowledge: Exploring the Impact of Local Research on a Global Scale” and showcased the latest research and innovations in the fields of grapevine and wine sciences, sensory and consumer sciences and market-related knowledge. Delegates were enlightened by the latest knowledge and impressed with the world-class presentations positioning our South African research community as thought leaders with global impact. A panel of acclaimed winemakers joined and provided insights and thought-provoking debate at workshop: “Natural Wine, what is it and does it make other wine unnatural?” follow us on Instagram @sasev_platform as we continue to re-invigorate and celebrate our own homegrown knowledge potential.
