South African Journal of Enology and Viticulture (SAJEV) of the South African Society for Enology and Viticulture (SASEV) publishes high quality research of South African and international scientists in Viticulture, Enology, Wine Biotechnology, Plant Biotechnology, Microbiology, Plant Pathology, Entomology and Soil Science. From its first publication in 1980, many ground-breaking and leading papers have been published. The success of the publication is largely attributed to the Prof. P.G. Goussard who has been editor of the journal from September 1989 to September 2005. The journal is distributed to 23 countries and has more than 1000 subscribers.
